The Quilted Bags… but not Chanel

A dream bag of mine is a quilted CHANEL but financially that just can’t happen any time soon so in the meantime, a very affordable alternative for a classic quilted bag is a Rebecca Minkoff.  I have two quilted Rebecca Minkoff bags and they are really good bags.  In fact, not too long ago, I went through a phase of just buying Rebecca Minkoff bags because they are not only affordable, but well made, and usually have a slightly current trendy edge to them.

My black quilted Rebecca Minkoff is the Quilted Affair in the large size.  It is a beautiful soft leather with gold hardware.  The strap is adjustable and can be worn as a shoulder bag or as a cross body bag.  I have used this one quite a bit and even took it on a  trip with me where I used it as my only bag for day and night. It’s a great size since it looks sleek but still can hold quite a bit and the cross body chain alternative is really useful when you are touring the city and need to be hands free. It’s great for a night out because it still looks somewhat dressy and black of course goes with everything.  I would love to get this with silver hardware as well but I have the white one for that…

The white one is the Rebecca Minkoff Quilted Love in the jumbo size.  I actually got this for a great price on Poshmark with the tags still on it and the straps still wrapped.  It is absolutely beautiful and again, has some of the same great features as the black one- an adjustable strap for shoulder or cross body wear, even larger and roomier than the Affair but still maintains a sleek aesthetic.  I have a thing for white bags and am always on the hunt for one that fits the bill because if you find a really great white bag, it goes with everything and is pretty much season less. I used to have a white L.A.M.B. clutch with navy detailing and I used that clutch ALL the time! In fact when I eventually sold it on Poshmark, I regretted it.  This Rebecca Minkoff purchase came pretty shortly after I sold the L.A.M.B. and so far, it has fulfilled that void in my heart and closet.
